ace provides an annual program assessment report form in qualtrics for programs to use, along with additional reporting resources and support (see below for details). undergraduate programs will use qualtrics to submit their 2021 annual report about program assessment conducted during the 2021 calendar year (jan 1 – dec 31), during the open reporting window – anytime from mid-dec 2021 through feb 2022 (see the timeline for more information). thresholds for annual program assessment reporting will again modify the reporting process in small undergraduate programs: multi-campus undergraduate degree programs with fewer than six seniors admitted to the major on a particular campus (using spring census records in obiee) will not be required to report on assessment for that particular campus.
programs will still be required to submit a regular annual report and include any campus with six or more senior majors. undergraduate degree programs with fewer than six seniors admitted to the major for the degree overall (using spring census records in obiee) will fall below the threshold for submitting the regular annual program assessment report and will file an alternative short assessment briefing to ace instead. thus, for these small programs, the annual ebb and flow of their assessment activities will not be tallied in the college or university summaries of annual program reports prepared by ace. the college and university summaries will include a list of programs not meeting the thresholds for that year.
in 2020, isbe moved to the full implementation of annual program reporting (apr) after a two-year pilot known as partnership for educator preparation (pep). in return, isbe will share analysis reports of that data back to each institution for administrators to explore strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement within their programs. the goal of annual program reporting is to ensure all new illinois teachers are learner-ready on day one in the classroom, and that data is used as a tool for continuous improvement to strengthen teacher preparation statewide.
